Visitation Date: 03/11/2026
Mission: Visit Deloitte + the UN.
We were told to board the bus at 6:15, with the departure time being unknown. My pre-sleep brain thought I could wake up at 4:45, but in reality, I woke up at 5:45, panicking that I needed to get ready. Still made it on time 🫡
The bus ride down to the city was just too long. I had a fun time hearing tea from my friend, though.
First stop, Deloitte. We stood around in the lobby for ~20 minutes, and when I thought time couldn’t pass by slower, we were finally let in.
I had a great time listening to Cait and the Deloitte partner talk about Deloitte. Networked a little bit with them and 2 other RPI alums.
We were then let out on a break, where I went on a further side quest with a few more friends 😈
Second stop, the UN. Probably the most fun I’ve ever had, the aura that place had is indescribeable.
Funny story, at the end of the tour, I was roaming around the area, when I spotted a glass-walled darkened room that was apparently the information center of some sort. I was peering through the glass to see what was inside, when a worker on the inside opened the door and let me in! He let me take some material, which included the 2007 and 1974 yearbooks.
I read a little bit of the material and it seems really interesting. Going to read more of it when I have a little bit more free time.
